Sundays are still my favorite day of the week. It is the only day where my alarm does NOT ring at 3:30am. It is the day where (usually) everyone in the house takes a nap, except for me, which leaves me a quiet house for a brief respite.
A little life-update for those following along – we are still in the upstairs apartment that we were SUPPOSED to move out of last year and, again, last month. Apparently, God is not done with us here yet. We’re trusting in His timing and in His guidance. And in the meantime, my homesteading desires are being tamed, and I am focusing on my kitchen skills instead.
The kids are growing like weeds. Our youngest will be two in a few short weeks, and our 3.5-year-old is always making us laugh!
We have a full holiday season this year – birthdays, “snowy” evenings, Christmas on the Farm, Holiday Light Festival, Christmas performances, and ALL the treats and yummy things to eat. I’m happy to be home for the holidays this year to soak it all in.
So if you need me on this sleepy Sunday, I’ll be sipping a cold brew, reflecting over 2018, and finding some rest before a busy few weeks!
